How It Works

Teams of roughly six compete round-robin style across a series of city checkpoints, scored on a straightforward win, draw or loss system.

Teams of roughly six people compete against each other round-robin style, working through a series of checkpoints scattered across the city. Every round runs to a tight rhythm: twenty minutes of activity, ten minutes to regroup and catch your breath, then straight into the next leg.

Scoring is simple — win, draw or loss per round, tallied to a final leaderboard — so results are transparent and every team can see exactly where they stand throughout the day. Despite the physical format, no serious fitness level is required, and teammates are always free to cheer from the sidelines if they'd rather sit a round out.

This is our flagship format for larger corporate groups and conferences, because it scales beautifully — from a single office block to a full company-wide event spanning multiple city precincts.

Common Questions

Amazing Race: City Challenge FAQs

How physically demanding is this?

It's active but not extreme — most rounds involve light movement, problem-solving and coordination rather than serious exertion, and sitting out a round is always an option.

Can this be run in one contained venue instead of across the city?

Yes — we regularly adapt the checkpoint format to a single large venue or estate for groups who prefer to stay on-site.
